North Hampshire Clinic
A safe, non-judgemental place for you to talk openly and get the support you need
When you have a problem in your sex life, something isn’t working, or you’re feeling sexually unfulfilled, you may visit your GP as a first port of call. Your GP will ask you some questions, probably examine you and might carry out some tests, but may very well tell you that there is nothing physically wrong with you. So where do you go from there?
Psychosexual Therapy helps you to explore the psychological, biological and social factors that may be contributing to the problems you are having with your sex life, now that a physical cause has been ruled out. It’s a talking therapy, so you wouldn’t be required to undress, and no tests or examinations would be carried out.
So what sort of problems do we help people with? The list is quite extensive but some of the common ones are:
A low desire or lack of interest in sex, difficulties with arousal, orgasm, erections, or ejaculation, painful sex or difficulties with penetration, fear or anxiety around sex, performance anxiety is extremely common. Addictions to sex, or pornography, worries or confusion around gender, sexual orientation or sexual preferences. Fetishes that may be having a negative impact on your life. I also help with sex education for those who have a lack of sexual knowledge or experience.
To discuss any issues you may have, or to book a consultation appointment, please send an email to email@example.com
